Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance

MorganLaurenson was one of the first companies to adopt the Horticulture New Zealand Quality Assurance programme. All vegetables packed by the company are embodied by a comprehensive Quality Assurance system which ensures ongoing excellence of supply.

Each and every product line is carefully inspected prior to acceptance into the packhouse. During the packing operation the Quality Assurance Manager takes responsibility for regular monitoring to ensure stringent standards relating to product quality, packaging, handling and weights are achieved. Potatoes are tested to measure specific gravity and sugar levels to ensure suitability for processing. Cook tests are also undertaken to determine suitability for boiling, baking, roasting, microwaving and frying.

The company operates under the strict regime of the NZFSA Approved HACCP Based Food Safety Programme. (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) ensures ongoing excellence of supply.  Designated quality control procedures are implemented at all stages of the production line in accordance with the Company‚Äôs Quality Assurance and Food Safety Certification Programme.
